KTI is India’s leading technical vocational training institute, developing skilled manpower for Indian and global industry needs. KTI was established in 1963 with a vision to overcome the challenge of India’s skilled manpower needs in her march of industrialization and modernization. The institute does so by imparting quality technical education focused on employment. Celebrating its 50th year in December 2011, the Kohinoor Group entered the field of education with a single center at Dadar in Mumbai, and has grown into a national KTI network of 110 centers, working towards the mission of “bringing quality technical education within easy reach of those who want to learn a skill that would help them stand on their own feet”.

KTI’s vocational training in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Animation, and Fashion Designing etc offers over 60 courses that cater to over 20,000 students every year. KTI has trained over 5,00,000 students till date.

‘Practical Oriented Technical Education’ is the mantra developed by KTI based on the time-tested fact that any skill can be developed only through practice. It is followed religiously to impart market-driven vocational training. Our Academic Cell adapts and designs the course syllabus focused on industry requirements on a continual basis. Our highly trained teaching faculty then teaches the syllabus in the classroom and our well-equipped workshops. This approach has proved to be a boon for thousands of our students who desire to make a career in the industry of their choice or start their own business. KTI’s success has stemmed from the strong belief that given the right training an academically average student with an aptitude for technical vocations can have a promising career.
